January can be a long month...
But occasionally a warmish day drops by to tease us...
Such was the case today.
So I pulled on my boots...
And grabbed my camera.
I find winter gardens to be quite lovely...
Just a bit more subtle...
And understated...

I try to identify the plants as they appear after being blanketed with the weight and chill of the recent snow. The photos are lovely in their own way, even though I recognize and thrill to the glories of the summer blossoms'shapes and colors. Such strength and endurance these delicate looking flowers of bygone days of summer display! Nature can be so honest and interesting! XOX, Mom
