Isn't she pretty?
She's my sweet new ride!
And I simply adore her!
She rides like a dream...
Which is really nice since it has been...
Over THIRTY years since I was on one of these!
Look at her grips!
Cool, huh?
I've had her for 36 hours...
And have ridden 15 miles! The bike trails around here are fabulous!
Pretty good for someone who hasn't ridden for a looooong time!
But...
I'm feeling it!
Oh well... more trails to explore tomorrow!
I was with a group of friends this evening and we were talking about gratitude.
A person can get so bogged down in the difficult things in his or her life. We can dwell on the tough stuff. Pity ourselves to the point of making ourselves victims of our own negative thoughts.We need to stop going down that road and think about the things in our lives that we are grateful for...
It doesn't have to be anything big or miraculous...
Just an everyday thing...

Both in my backyard...
They just landed there. I didn't plant them. Aren't they beautiful?
So today I am grateful to be able to sit in my own backyard and see the beauty that surrounds me. Sometimes I take it for granted...
But not today.

Thinking...
How can I keep going...
What should I do...
There were times when I thought my world was over...
But it isn't...
It is different...
And that is good.
Sometimes it takes time to find the clarity necessary to move forward...
I waited... not so patiently, I must admit...
And it came...
Not all at once...
But in little bits...
And those bits keep coming...
So now...
I feel more like that butterfly...
Ready to see the beauty that surrounds me once again.
